Your private safari guide will collect you from your lodge this morning. You will drive to Tarangire National Park across gently rolling Maasai plains. Tarangire is well-known for its massive elephant herds and diverse wildlife. From the open roof of your safari jeep, you’ll explore the seasonal swamps, savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Look for zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, and a multitude of other creatures. With a bit of luck, you might spot a lion stalking its prey or a leopard relaxing in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will catch your first glimpse of the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling on to Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest park with diverse landscapes and habitats. After an extensive game drive, you will arrive at your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Luxury: Embalakai Serengeti Camp
Today, we journey to the northern region of the Serengeti, driving to where the migration is found from August to October. The Northern Serengeti is a tranquil countryside with rolling hills and kopjes, and because it is far from the park's main entry point, it receives fewer visitors. With luck, you may witness the most spectacular of river crossings as the herds attempt to cross the Mara River, avoiding strong currents and hungry crocodiles. After a full day of exploration, we head to our accommodation to enjoy dinner under the magnificent African sky.
Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinks not included
Accommodation:
Mid-range: Mara Heritage Camp
After an early breakfast, you will head out to make the most of the day. There is a chance you will see the animals crossing the Mara River. All it takes is one brave wildebeest to make the literal plunge and the rest will follow! The animals that successfully avoid the awaiting crocodile jaws and make it over the river are rewarded with the lush green grazing grass of the Maasai Mara.

After breakfast, we will return to the Central Serengeti, with further opportunities to experience the incredible wildlife and natural beauty of the park. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the opportunity to see resident predators, including leopards, cheetahs, and lions, fulfilling their role in the circle of life. After an extensive game drive, we will head to our accommodation for a hearty dinner and another night of relaxation under the star-bright African sky.

After breakfast, you will embark upon another incredible game drive in the Serengeti before traveling to the Ngorongoro Crater. Arriving at the edge of the crater in the afternoon, you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day—glistening streams, open grassland, and an infinite number of animals. You will spend the night at a nearby lodge on the crater rim.
- Accommodation:

- Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinks not included
Very early this morning, we descend down onto the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth. The caldera was formed about three million years ago and is an enclosed ecosystem. It is one of the best places in Africa to view the Big Five as well as wildebeest, gazelle, and about 500 bird species. You will stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake before ascending the steep road out of the crater. You will overnight in the nearby town of Karatu.
- Accommodation:
- Mid-range: Eileen’s Tree Inn
- Meals & Drinks: All meals included; drinks not included
After breakfast, you will drive to your final destination on this epic safari—Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park is named for the shallow salt lake which covers about 70 percent of the surface area. It is home to thousands of flamingos as well as over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. After lunch, we will return to Arusha in the late afternoon.
